Today marks the last day of the quarter month of 2010.
Very fast..
It seems to me that there are more bad news than good things.
7 major earthquakes since Jan..
Unexpected disasters, calamities & death..
People whom you never expect..
People whom you see them every week..
They are no longer around..

For those who are still around
People face family problems, life demands & environmental stresses..
Well, life still goes on in the speed of time. With the grace of God, let's carry on.
Hopefully, next few months will be better :)

Prayer

I am sure God has answered your prayers in many ways, sometimes even without you asking Him. I personally have come across people whom have backslided for long time, till today still ask me to pray for what they want Him to answer. On one hand, you feel glad that they acknowledge the power of prayer. On the other, you feel sad that they want the answer of prayer due to their own personal gains. Nevertheless i will still choose to pray as you won't know one day they would return to the First Love, when they finally wake up to the reality of God.
It is the power of prayer that sees changes in our lives.
It is the power of prayer that sees signs and wonders.
It is the power of prayer that seals our relationship with God.

Lenses

Yeah..i got my new lenses & now i can see clearer.

My old lenses gave me alot of problem:

* Cannot see clearly esp the words at a distance.

* At times the vision went blur.

* Cannot see properly at night.

Come to think of it, going all the way to JB to make the pair of lenses is worthwhile.

It is far more cheaper, so i will do so from now onwards.

Have a good time with the low couple & my godson too!

Confidence

I realise when you engage with someone or when you need to accomplish or meet deadlines, you need to have confidence. Somehow God has given this instinct in us to sense if someone is confident in his posture, speech & character.
How you live your life is also the same.
A person who lives his life with confidence, is able to face big or small challenges.
He will be strong & courageous, so he will not be fearful because he is full of confidence in the Lord. I want to be like that, so i shall live my life with confidence :)

New Toy

The recent addition..IPHONE!!!
Got this new toy before i left for Philippines last month but didn't get to play with it as needed to wait for the activation. Then when it was activated, i was overseas.
I must say the resolution & graphics are good, no wonder why many switch to it. Haha i am downloading those free applications & having fun with them.

I'm loving it!!

Farewell

Finally we bid farewell to our dear bro..
I thank God for this wonderful bro that at least in my lifetime, i have the privilege of working with him in the leaders retreat. During the planning process, i came to know him better who never said no to what had been assigned to him. He was willing to serve & best of all, putting that broad smile on his weary face. His willingness to walk the extra mile for people amazed me that i will remember him for the rest of my life. Though i may not have the chance to tell him my deepest appreciation & applaud, i am happy to befriend someone like him.
In this space, i just want to say this:
"Bro Sebastian, you have been an exemplary model, a humble servant, a devoted father & a dedicated bro in the house of the Lord. Now you have gone ahead of us, but one day we will meet again. May you find rest in the solace place of God and enjoy the everlasting peace.
Rest in peace.."

Let Him

Sometimes when you don't know what to say in a situation, it is better not to say anything.
Sometimes when you don't know what to do in a situation, it is better not to do anything.
This is the best time to pray & let God.
This is the best time to trust & let God.
It is definitely better to let Him than saying the wrong words, doing the wrong things & walking the wrong way.

I am in such stage now, so i will let Him.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your steps."

Fragilty

Life is indeed fragile..
One moment the person is there, the next moment the person is gone..
Truly like what the Bible says, life is like a vapour..
The sudden departure of our late bro caught everyone in shock..
I am indeed very sad because he is a wonderful, helpful & responsible man but i know my Redeemer lives. He makes all things beautiful in His time, so He is in control to see what needs to go & what needs to remain..RIP bro!
What does the living learn?

• It's a wake up call that we don't take things, take life & take people for granted, so treasure the people around you & be content in what God has blessed you now.
• It's a reminder that we do not know what will happen, so seize every opportunity to share the love of Christ & spend time with the ones we love.
• It's an indication that we must strengthen & deepen our relationship with God, to know our Redeemer is still in control & He has His reasons of permitting anything to happen.

Dear friends, life in indeed very fragile. Treasure what you have, seize every opportunity to be a blessing & stand in the gap for someone who is in need.

Do keep the bereaved family in prayers..very tough moments for them.

Get Moving

We are moving the barang barang to PLMGSS..

By the end of the moving, most of the staff are like living corpses-body aching & energy draining. Really salute those movers who have to shift the bigger & heavier items.

3x within a week!
What is happening to these drivers man?
I was keeping to my lane, then all these cars (3 are male young drivers), with no signal just cut right into my lane. And i was like win oredi lor, so i have no choice but to either slow down or jam break. Honking at them is no use at all, they simply ignored you.
BUT i really thank God for granting me the alertness. If not, either my car needs to be "hospitalised" or the driver herself. Haha..my cell members were laughing at me saying "maybe it's you driving too slow". I told them cannot be as i have witnesses in these 3 almost kena hit incidents & they said i was not wrong. Come to think of it, also thank God for protecting the witnesses :)

Today, we moved things again. Wah climbing that 3 storey staircase with things in your hand is no joke. Super tiring, hot, perspiring like siao & worst of all DUSTY. Haha yet we were laughing away & teasing each other..we were saying how many such chances can we have in doing this? That's true!
Haha..that's why tomorrow we are doing it again~PLMGSS here we come :D

Finally Bethel is on the great move. This time is for real.
Different people started to do their parts in this move & i am no exception too.
From the time we walked into the empty room of B3/4, removed the boards, figured the layout, got the heritage items together, i found my niche. This reminded me of those days when i was cutting, pasting & decorating the missions notice board. Though alot of work but fun. I just got my brains together & started to draw/ anyhow draw (haha...) on the vanguard. Some were "amazed" by the other side of me, when they saw the end product. But i really had fun not just doing the craftwork, but also working together with many wonderful people. I might not have such chance again, so I guess this would stay as a sweet & lovely memory in me.
I praise God for this opportunity to be part of the contributors in the history of Bethel. I will miss this place as it has been a place of spiritual growth, friendship building & christian service since i came in 1990s.
天下有不散之筵席, so move on吧!

Great Move

Haha..but we really have fun together, perspiring together, moving stuff up together & taking pictures together.

Because of the unity & teamwork, from a supposedly 4-hours task, we did it in 2 hours!

Next week another round for us but now is to PLMGSS.

Almost

Another reckless driver again.
I was turning right into hougang ave 8 keeping to my lane, then this irritating driver also turning right suddenly cut into my lane. Wah piang & he almost hit the front of my car! Thank God i was alert that i stepped on the brake & managed to avoid the bang. Most frustrating thing is NO APOLOGY from that irritating driver. I doubt he even knew what happened.
In the midst of frustration, i thank God for the alert & quick response He caused me to react.

Actually come to think of it, in the last 10 years of driving experiences, God has protected me that i did not get into any accidents or car breakdowns.
Haha..i want to continue to maintain this good record &

Just Them & Me

What an adventure!
Bringing the 3 with me alone is no joke. Tired but i have fun with them.
By the time i reached auntie doris's house, i am like a living corpse. Haha just sat at one corner cannot move anymore & the weather was super hot, so i was like tired + hot. But well..long weekend so nevermind lah..

Believe

After coming back from Iloilo Philippines, i realise i really miss the people there.
Though they have just enough to live on, some even have to struggle to find life means, yet their hearts are content in the Lord. Not much complaints, faithfully serving their God & people. All these years, this has not been changed & that is what i always salute them for :)
We may have enough, but yet not happy.
We may be happy, but yet not enough.
Which is better?
I will surely choose the first one because in the end God will supply the needs since He feeds the birds of the air & takes care the lilies of the field. That's what the beauty of trusting God in the midst of life struggles. This song "Believe" says it well:

In our gratitude yet unworthiness, He paid it all.

MIA

Haha it has been a long while updating & writing the blog..MIA for at least one week but what to do..人在江湖，身不由己. Past one week has been busy finalising my paper before submission, then studying for the exams on 31 plus catching up with the pastoral visitation after return from the Philippines. Though it was buzy times, it's an enjoyable busyness.

Oops i have to go again. Catch up more soon :p
Talking about busyness..oh well!
