Perseverance

Perseverance is a beautiful character trait.

When you have perseverance, you achieve goal and result. And God creates us to be able to have perseverance (no one is excluded).

I am impressed that even a small kid can have perseverance in seeing what he wants to achieve. Gabriel, in order to demonstrate to me that he could do 20 times of hula hoop, did not give up trying though he was very near to it like 19 times. He continued trying. After couple of rounds, HE DID IT-20 times. He reminded me to 持续下去, 不要气馁!

My friends,持续下去, 不要气馁!

Friends are indeed the gift of God, what's more when you really have good friends in the lifetime! It doesn't matter how old you are, what kind of personality and where you come from, as long as we do not take each other for granted but has the genuineness and sincerity to build the friendship.

I appreciate all of you, my dear friends.

If it's not God, i would not have known all of you.

If it's not all of you, i would not be where i am today.

Amazing God

I am amazed by God..

When i don't know what to do next, he gives me ideas!

When i don't know what to say next, he gives me words!

When i don't know what to feel next, he gives me comforts!

When i don't know what to expect next, he gives me directions!

He never fails to amaze me..

When I was stuck preparing for the bible study materials, trying to write something out of the box, God dropped ideas, words, comforts and directions.

Lord i am amazed by how you love me :D

Expressions

God creates us with different expressions, 有酸甜苦辣，有喜怒哀乐，也有泪有笑. Thank God we are not robots with no emotions and no expressions.

Even God is so creative on our expressions.

How awesome is that?

When you leave

At the first session of GLS, Bill Hybels poses this question:

"When you leave the place that you work or serve, what would be the response of your boss, colleagues or friends?"

1st response: "whew" (finally you are gone).

2nd response: "argh" (what a waste but guess there is a better place out there).

3rd response: "vomit" (what!?! oh man, we lost a real good staff and it is a great loss to us).

Consider the question.

I hope you will not fall into the first response.

What a day!!

What a day!!

Do you have the experience of looking forward for a good day, but end up disappointed or frustrated or helpless? Well i experienced that today..feeling super lousy.

It is indeed very true that people disappoint you. People fail to understand you.

But well, this is life and what's new about that?

At the point of disappointment, frustration and helplessness, God is there! He put a pad on our shoulders telling us that as long as what we do and say are right and factual, we will leave the rest to Him. Like the verse says "cast your burden unto Jesus, he cares for you", I will leave things as it is.

I shall look forward to the dinner with friends tonight, to "compensate" the lousy feeling in the morning :D
